This temple is two thousand years old. Generally, in all temples – as far as the Navagrahas are concerned – each planet faces a different direction. But in the Vaitheeswaran temple, all the planets stand in the same order. This is a speciality that cannot be found in any other temple.
It is believed that the Vaitheeswaran Temple Navagrahas cure the diseases and ailments of the devotees by bowing to the command of the Lord. Also, it stands for Mars. Therefore, this temple is considered to be special for getting rid of health and marriage obstacles.

Vaitheeswaran Temple
A Hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva, located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is 7 kilometers from sirkazhi, 235 kms from Chennai. The leaves of the temple trees are said to contain medicinal properties in them and are capable of curing any disease. Various skin problem are also said to be cured. Angaraka was cured of his leprosy after dipping in these water as per legend.

Sattainadhar Temple
Brahmapureeswarar temple and Thoniappar temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Sirkazhi, Tamil Nadu.The temple is incarnated by the hymns of Thevaram and is classified as Paadal Petra Sthalam.It is an ancient temple complex with three different Shiva shrines in three stories. The Bhramapureeswarar shrine is housed in the lower level. Brahmapureeswarar is accompanied by Ambal Sthira sundari/Thiripurasundari or Thirunilainayaki in Tamil. The second-level houses Periyanakar with Periyanayaki on a Thoni, hence the name Thoniappar. Sattainathar/Vatukanathar is also housed here.

Osai Nayaki Temple
Sapthapureeswarar Temple (Thirukolakka –8 Km) is a Hindu temple located at Keezhai Thirukolakka in Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu India. The historical name of the place is Sapthapuri. The presiding deity is Shiva. He is called as sapthapureeswarar. His consort is known as Osai Kodutha Nayaki. Hence, the lord is praised as “Sri Thalapureeswarar” and the Goddess “Sri Osai Kodutha Nayaki”. “Osai” means sound, “Kodutha” means given and “Nayaki” means Goddess in Tamil. The temple’s name “Thiruthalam Udayar Koil” is also derived from this legend.

Sivaloganathar Temple
Hindu temple located in the Indian state of Tamilnadu, It is dedicated to Lord shiva. The temple is situated in the village of Tirupunkur or thirupunkur which lies about 3miles west of Vaitheeswaran koil. The temple is associated with the legend of the Saivite saint Nandanar who was one of the 63 Nayanmars. While being a Dalit, Nandanar was not allowed inside the temple, the idol of Nandi within the temple precincts moved a few inches at the command of shiva so as not to obstruct Nandanar’s view from the gate of shrine.

Athi Vaidhyanathar Temple
This is the sacred place where Lord Murugan, who shattered the chest of the demon Surapadman, worshiped. The divine place that was blessed as a medicinal center by Lord Shiva, with Uma Devi, the consort of Shiva, as the presiding deity, a vessel of oil, Sanjeevi Mountain herb, Vilva tree bark and soil, is even more special. It is believed that consuming the sandalwood paste (which is referred to as a medicine powder) available in this temple, along with the water from the Siddhamirtha tank, can cure diseases. This is an ancient tradition that is said to also help in alleviating the dosha of Mars (Sevvai dosha).

Swetharaneswarar Temple
Swetharanyeswarar Temple in Thiruvenkadu is a very holy temple which is famous for the worship of the planet Budha, one of the Nine Navagrahas or the nine celestial bodies. Additionally, the temple has three tanks, namely Surya Theertham, Chandra Theertham and Agni Theertham. These sacred tanks are believed to provide blessings and other benefits to the devotees who take a dip in them and worship the main deity of the temple. It is believed that worshipping the deity here after taking a dip in these holy waters brings prosperity and other benefits as per the traditions.

Keezhaperum pallam Naganathar Temple
This temple is renowned for its celebrations dedicated to Rahu and Ketu, the two shadow planets of the Nine Navagrahas. It is believed that performing rituals here can alleviate marital problems, bring family unity, prevent marital discord, and negate the harmful effects of the planetary positions in one's horoscope. In fact, this temple is considered to be the most significant for Ketu among the Navagraha temples. Additionally, it is also a prominent place for performing Vaitheeswaran Koil Nayanar's worship.

Mayuranathar Temple
This is one of the six sacred abodes (Arupadaiveedu) located in the vicinity of Kashi. Despite differences of opinion between the spouses, Hindu rituals are being performed here to bring unity among them. This temple is particularly known for the Thula water festival, which takes place in the Kaveri river (during Aippasi month).
If you feel remorse for any mistakes committed, you can seek forgiveness and perform a special worship of Lord Shiva by taking a dip in the Kaveri river. Many people come here to perform special worship.
